Brick chapel from 1929-1930, built by the inhabitants of Dołki as a votive offering of gratitude for the annexation of part of Upper Silesia to Poland.
St Anthony's Chapel stands in Dołki, part of Dąbrówka Wielka in Piekary Śląskie, on ul. Główna. The brick chapel was built in 1929-1930 in the historicist style with Neo-Gothic elements. It is entered in the heritage register.
The chapel was built by the inhabitants of Dołki under the supervision of Fr Józef Kruppa, parish priest of the parish in Kamień. It was created as an expression of gratitude for the annexation of part of Upper Silesia to Poland. It was consecrated on 14 June 1930. A plaque to the right of the entrance, unveiled in 2010 on the 80th anniversary of the construction, tells of this.
On the pediment of the chapel there was an image of the White Eagle, which was destroyed during the German occupation.
Inside stand figures of Saints Stanislaus and Casimir, donated by the inhabitants, and a painting of St Anthony and a monstrance, donated by Karol Mutz, the village head of Kamień. In the altar are placed relics of St Placidus and a reliquary of St Anthony. Next to the chapel is a grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.
