A Modernist parish church in Łazy, designed by Jerzy Struszkiewicz and built in 1934-1949.
The parish Church of St Michael the Archangel in Łazy stands on Tadeusza Kościuszki Street. It is a Modernist building, put up over fifteen years with a break for the war.
First there was a chapel from 1916, pulled down during the building of the new church. The church was built in 1934-1949 to a design by Jerzy Struszkiewicz. It was blessed on 29 September 1949, on the feast of its patron, and consecrated on 21 June 1953 by the Bishop of Częstochowa, Zdzisław Goliński.
The three-nave church was built of reinforced concrete on a rectangular plan, with a semicircular chancel and a rectangular tower. The roof is flat, and the outer walls are faced with cement brick. Inside there are stained-glass windows showing the church's patron, St Michael the Archangel.
Not far away lies the war cemetery in Łazy, and a few kilometres further the palace in Wysoka.
