Villa of the manufacturer Edward Zipser from 1890 in Bielsko-Biała, with a French-style mansard roof.
The Zipser Palace, in reality a villa from 1890, stands at ulica Bystrzańska 52 in the Mikuszowice district of Bielsko-Biała. It was built for the manufacturer Edward Zipser, next to his cloth factory. The architect was Emanuel Rost.
The building was kept in the historicist style, in the so-called French costume. Most striking is the tall mansard roof with an openwork balustrade along the ridge. This solution refers to the villa architecture of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, popular in Europe after 1871. The villa is part of a complex with a villa park and has been listed in the heritage register since 2009.
After the Second World War a primary school was housed here, and later a boarding house of a specialised school and educational centre. Since 2010 the building has had a private owner. In the area it is easy to walk to a church, for example St Barbara's in Bielsko-Biała.
