Events in Chorzów: musicals at Teatr Rozrywki, concerts at Leśniczówka, cabaret and shows at the Silesian Planetarium. Pick a venue and a day.
Chorzów has just under forty events in the calendar, mostly musical and theatrical. One of the main stages is Teatr Rozrywki, and the Planetarium lies in the heart of the Silesian Park. It is a map for people who want to combine a day in the park with an evening in town.
The calendar mentions the Chorzowskie Centrum Kultury, Teatr Rozrywki and Leśniczówka Rock’n’Roll Cafe most often. Single entries concern the Starochorzowski Dom Kultury, the Silesian Planetarium and the Hala Sportowa MORiS.
Teatr Rozrywki produces musical shows with its own actors, singers, dancers and orchestra, and has done so since 1985. It occupies a building at ulica Katowicka 62 in the city centre, which earlier served as a hotel and a culture house. For anyone who likes music on stage, this is the first address to check.
The Silesian Planetarium stands on Góra Parkowa in the Silesian Park and is regarded as the largest and the oldest in the country. Besides dome shows it has exhibitions on astronomy, seismology and meteorology. It appears in the calendar rarely, so catch its events early.
Leśniczówka Rock’n’Roll Cafe is one of the three most frequently named addresses, but the calendar does not describe its programme, so read the details on the listing. The same goes for the Chorzowskie Centrum Kultury and the Starochorzowski Dom Kultury, which combine a stage with local activity.
The biggest category is concerts in Chorzów, nineteen dates. It is followed by fourteen theatre performances and five cabaret shows. One entry belongs to the category “other”. Everything is gathered on the page of events in Chorzów.
Look for choices in the section of sights of Chorzów. The Silesian Park is described in the article from the decision to the park, and open-air museums are presented in the text on farmsteads and cottages of Silesia. Football fans will find a club story in the article on Ruch Chorzów.
