A historic avenue of 28 horse chestnut trees, a remnant of the Tiele-Winckler manor farm in Dąbrówka Mała.
The chestnut avenue in Dąbrówka Mała, Katowice, is a row of 28 old trees that has survived from a former landed estate. It is entered in the heritage register, and after being tidied up it serves for walks.
The avenue is a relic of a manor complex and originally led to today's General Haller Street. It is linked with the historic manor farm of the Tiele-Winckler family in Dąbrówka Mała. The heritage register dates it to the second half of the 19th century, and the entry was made in December 1994.
The avenue is formed of horse chestnuts growing in two rows. There are 28 of them, and the trunk circumferences reach about 300 centimetres. Along the trees a promenade with street furniture and lighting was laid out, financed by the owner of the land, an office and services complex. The avenue runs along aleja Walentego Roździeńskiego. A little under two kilometres further on is the Walcownia, the zinc metallurgy museum.
