A small museum run since 2006 by the Beskid Automobile Club, with vintage cars and motorcycles in the halls of a former fruit-processing plant.
The Automotive Museum in Bielsko-Biała is a small institution run by the Beskid Automobile Club, which was founded in 1976. The museum was established on 11 November 2006, and the exhibits are arranged in adapted halls of a former fruit-processing plant at Kazimierza Wielkiego 1.
The collections are small. The museum shows nine vehicles, including a Citroën 2CV from 1982, two Mercedes-Benz 170V cars from 1938 (a saloon and a convertible), a Mercedes W111 from 1964, an Opel from 1934, an Opel Super 6 in the driving-school chassis version from 1938, a Syrena 105 from 1982, a Volvo P210 Duett from 1964 and a WFM M06 from 1960. Plans included expanding the display, so the make-up of the collection may have changed.
The Beskid Automobile Club, the museum's seat, promotes motor sport, tourism and the history of motoring, and looks after vintage vehicles. Since 1977 it has organised the Beskid Vintage Vehicle Rally, one of the largest gatherings of classic car enthusiasts in Poland, and since 2007 the Bielsko Syrena Enthusiasts Club has operated at the club.
