A herb museum in Brenna with a multimedia exhibition on the role of herbs in the life of the Silesian highlanders and a herb garden.
The Beskid House of Herbs "Przytulia" in Brenna is a herb museum with a multimedia permanent exhibition on how herbs functioned in the culture and everyday life of the Silesian highlanders. The exhibits and dried herbs can be looked at, touched and smelled.
The exhibition has four thematic sections: in health and in illness, in the family home, in the field and in the farmstead, and on feast days, Fridays and Sundays. Along the way it presents the history of the Silesian Beskids and their inhabitants. During the visit a promotional film is shown, and at the end you can try Brenna fruit and herbal tea.
From spring to autumn a herbarium operates around the building, a herb garden with the most important herbs of the region. During a walk you can learn to recognise plants and find out their basic properties. The house also organises lectures, workshops, demonstrations, concerts, performances and author meetings.
