Parish church in Golejów built in 1926 in four months, with an altar holding a painting of Christ the King.
The Church of Christ the King stands in the Golejów district of Rybnik and is the parish church of the Golejów deanery of the Archdiocese of Katowice.
Work began in February 1926, and the church was built and plastered within four months. The design was prepared by Andrzej Reginek of Królewska Huta, who also managed the construction, while the drawings and calculations were made by Henryk Balicki of Siemianowice Śląskie. The masonry work was supervised by the local master Alfons Majnusz. The church was consecrated on 10 October 1926.
The high altar dedicated to Christ the King was made in 1926 by Ludwik Konarzewski of Istebna, and the painting at its centre was painted by Jan Wałach of Istebna. On either side stand figures of the Apostles Peter and Paul, and at the top is a sculpture of St Anthony with the Child. The church also contains figures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St Florian, St Jude Thaddeus, St Barbara and Our Lady of Fatima.
The centre of Rybnik is a few kilometres away, including the Market Square and the Basilica of St Anthony.
