A brick church in Miotek (Kalety), built in 1926-1928 to a design by Henryk Gambiec.
The Church of St Francis of Assisi stands in Miotek, a district of Kalety, on Tarnogórska Street. It is a Roman Catholic parish church of the Diocese of Gliwice, in the Woźniki deanery.
The foundation stone was blessed on 25 July 1925 by Fr Paweł Kiebel. The brick church was built in 1926-1928 to a design by the Katowice architect Henryk Gambiec. The first Mass was celebrated on 26 February 1928, and the solemn consecration by Bishop Arkadiusz Lisiecki took place on 4 October 1928. The church has one nave, three altars and a small tower with a bell. An independent parish was established in 1957.
In 2009-2011 Marian Mendrek restored the polychromes on biblical themes, and from 2014 the interior was renovated to a design by Ryszard Kopiec.
