The Church of St Stanislaus in Jawornica, consecrated in 1980, on the border of Lubliniec.
The parish Church of St Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr, stands on the border of Lubliniec and the village of Jawornica, but administratively belongs to Jawornica in Kochanowice municipality. It is a church from the 1970s and 1980s, built for a growing residential district.
Jawornica formerly belonged to the parish of St Nicholas in Lubliniec. Because the village lay far from that church and was developing rapidly, the residents and the parish priest from Lubliniec sought permission for their own church. It was obtained in June 1977, and in spring 1978 building work began.
The new parish was established on 25 June 1980 by decree of the Bishop of Katowice. Two weeks later, on 6 July 1980, its initiator, the parish priest of St Nicholas, Dean Fr Paweł Miś, was killed during construction. The church was blessed on 12 October 1980.
The instrument was brought in at the beginning of the 21st century from the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Katowice. With its old bellows and electromagnets it needs ongoing repairs, and in January 2021 an organ builder got about 95 per cent of its stops working.
In Lubliniec, about 3 km from here, stands Lubliniec Castle, and among the town's churches the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
