A parish church in Lubliniec built in 1928-1931 as the chapel of the Oblate seminary, with a Fatima chapel and a monastery park.
The Church of St Stanislaus Kostka in Lubliniec is one of the largest churches in the town. Right next to it stands the monastery of the Oblate Fathers, in which a minor seminary operated until the 1950s.
On 23 February 1922 the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate bought the former Grottowski Educational Institute with the intention of turning it into a seminary. In 1925 the house began to be extended with two wings: the west wing was completed in 1928, the east wing in 1930. In 1928-1931 a church was built in the east wing, which served primarily as the seminary chapel. It was consecrated by Bishop Stanisław Gall of Warsaw.
Since 1956 the chapel has been dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima. In 1939 the Church of St Stanislaus Kostka became an independent pastoral centre, and by a decree of 21 November 1941 a parish curacy of the Oblates was established at it. In 1999-2000 a tower was added to the church.
The church lies in the monastery park, which also contains a grotto of Our Lady of Fatima. It consists of two parts: the upper one holds the main church, the lower one the chapel of Our Lady of Fatima. The organ was built around 1890 by the firm Gebrüder Walter and was moved in the 1950s from the Protestant church in Kopanica. The gallery has two symmetrical organ cases, but the sound-producing parts are only in the left one.
Lubliniec has another large church, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
