About Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in Częstochowa

a single-nave church from 2006-2008 in the Wrzosowiak district of Częstochowa

The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit stands in the Wrzosowiak district of Częstochowa and is the church of the parish of the same name. It is a very young building: preparations began in 2001, construction work on 10 May 2006, and the whole was completed in 2008.

Construction

The church has a single nave. It was designed by Marek Gomoluch, Marcin Uryć and Lech Wojtas of the Prospect Studio practice. The walls were blessed and the foundation stone laid on 23 November 2008 by Archbishop Stanisław Nowak. Since then daily and festive liturgy has been held here, while finishing work on the church and the parish house continued.
