A brick church from 1808-1810 in the Lipowiec district of Ustroń, with a late Baroque altar from 1852.
The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross stands on ulica Lipowska in Ustroń-Lipowiec. It was built in 1808-1810 as the third church in the village, and on 16 September 1810 it was consecrated by the dean of Skoczów, Father Bernard Farbowski.
It is a brick building of stone and brick with one tower and one nave, whose vault rests on transverse arches. The building has no clearly defined style, and the heritage register describes it as Neoclassical. The chancel faces south. Over the nave is a gabled roof covered with copper sheet, and over the chancel a roof with five slopes. The roofing was replaced in the early 1980s.
The three-tiered high altar in the late Baroque type dates from 1852. In the tabernacle retable is a bas-relief of Christ as the Good Shepherd, and on the altar stand figures of Saints Peter and Paul. The stone font was moved from an older church. The church has candelabra from the second half of the 19th century, and the windows are decorated with stained glass showing scenes of the Passion. The organ has 11 stops.
Ustroń also has the Church of St Clement, and the history of the town is told by the Jan Jarocki Ustroń Museum.
