A museum in the former directors' building of the Klemens ironworks in Ustroń, with exhibitions on ironworking and the spa, and an industrial open-air museum.
The Jan Jarocki Ustroń Museum is housed in the historic building of the former directors' office of the Klemens ironworks from 1800, at ul. Hutnicza 3 in Ustroń. It was opened on 18 April 1986, and its collections tell about local ironworking and forging, ethnography, art and spa medicine.
The Klemens ironworks operated in 1772-1897. On the façade of the former directors' office are the coats of arms of the Habsburgs and of Albert Casimir, Duke of Saxe-Teschen.
Next to the building stands a small industrial open-air museum with equipment from the Ustroń Forge, and an agricultural open-air museum. The complex also includes old forging presses from 1868.
The museum presents several permanent exhibitions of different sizes: the history of Ustroń ironworking and forging, the story of the spa, the everyday life of Ustroń's residents in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the museum's patron, Jan Jarocki. A separate exhibition is devoted to the life and work of the Ustroń painter Bogusław Heczko.
Since 19 October 2006 the museum has been on the Industrial Monuments Route of the Silesian Voivodeship, as one of the sites linked to the industrial past of Cieszyn Silesia.
