Brick and sandstone church from 1882-1885, the former palace chapel of the Ballestrems, a parish church since 1945.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pławniowice stands at Gliwicka 46. It was built for the Ballestrem family, owners of the local estate, and today it is a parish church of the Gliwice diocese.
Construction began in 1882, and on 15 October 1885 the church was consecrated as a palace chapel. It became a parish church in 1945. A major renovation began in 1993. The building is entered in the heritage register.
The designer was Konstanty Heidenreich. The church was built of brick and sandstone, on a single-nave plan, with a square body and a chancel closed on three sides. Inside there are figural and ornamental polychrome paintings and star vaults, and the galleries have cross-rib vaults. The organ was built in 1885 by the firm Schlag und Söhne of Świdnica.
