An Evangelical Augsburg church that grew out of a cemetery chapel of 1891, extended in 1934.
The Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Jasienica is an Evangelical Augsburg church belonging to the parish in Jaworze. It has brick walls and an eclectic style, and the monument is entered in the heritage register.
The Evangelical cemetery in Jasienica was founded in 1857. In 1890 construction began on a cemetery chapel, which was completed and dedicated on 8 September 1891. In 1899 the bells were hung and an altar, pulpit and organ donated by the congregation in Opava were installed. During the First World War the bells were taken and melted down, and new ones were bought in 1921. In 1934 the chapel was converted into a church: the nave was lengthened and the tower raised.
During the Second World War the church was devastated, the bells were taken and the organ was destroyed. It was rebuilt in 1959, and the tower, facade and roof were later renovated. The rededication took place on 6 September 1987, and the church was then given the name of the Resurrection of the Lord.
