A brick Evangelical church in Pruchna, which began as a cemetery chapel of 1892-1893.
The Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Pruchna belongs to the Evangelical Augsburg parish in Drogomyśl. It began as a cemetery chapel of 1892-1893, and since 1991 it has had the rank of a church. The building is of brick and has been entered in the heritage register since 2012.
The chapel was built in 1892-1893 and dedicated in September 1893. During the Second World War the building was destroyed, and it was rebuilt in 1945. In April 1991 the bishop raised the chapel to the dignity of a church. A Sunday school has operated here since 1952.
During the rebuilding a balcony was added, which increased the number of seats, and in 1973 a choir gallery was built. The altar holds a painting showing the Resurrection of Jesus. In the following years the interior was renovated, the facade was restored, the windows were replaced, and a new clock and bell mechanism were installed. In 1991 an electric organ was installed in the church.
The nearest church of the same parish is the Evangelical Augsburg church in Drogomyśl, a few kilometres away.
