Desert Trail

The Desert Trail is a yellow waymarked PTTK hiking trail which is 28.5 km long and links Błędów with Ryczów. It leads, among other places, through the area of the Błędów Desert.

Route

The trail starts in Błędów, west of the Desert, and heads east, parallel to the Biała Przemsza valley. Just before Klucze it passes, on the right, Czubatka (382 m above sea level), a viewpoint over the Błędów Desert. It runs along the main streets of the village, past the health centre and the swimming pool, and then through forest towards Jaroszowiec.

What lies along the trail

The sources list a ski lift, the Błędów Desert, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mąciwoda Cave and a chapel from 1929 along the route. Nearby lie also the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle and sections of the Trail of the Eagles' Nests.
