About Former Borderland Cycle Trail

Red cycle trail, 10.2 km long, along the former partition border in Sosnowiec, from Millennium Park to the Three Emperors' Corner.

The Former Borderland Cycle Trail is a red trail lying entirely in Sosnowiec, 10.2 km long. It was laid out along the former border between the Prussian and Russian partitions and waymarked in 2012.

Route and surface

The route starts in Millennium Park (Park Tysiąclecia), leads through Naftowa, Radocha and Rybaczówka, and ends at the Three Emperors' Corner. The vast majority of the trail, 97%, is unpaved roads and paths, so it is best ridden in dry weather. The trail runs mainly through green areas along the Brynica.

What you pass on the way

Close to the trail lie the Borki, Morawa and Hubertus ponds and the Egzotarium, and in the Modrzejów district an old Jewish cemetery. The trail connects with three other routes: the green Black Sea Trail, a yellow trail towards Jaworzno and a yellow trail towards Katowice.

Practical information

  • Start: Millennium Park in Sosnowiec; end: Three Emperors' Corner.
