A disused Jewish cemetery from the late 18th century, entered in the heritage register, with a few surviving matzevot.
The Jewish cemetery in Janów was established at the end of the 18th century on what is now Kościuszki Street. It is no longer in use, covers 1.2 hectares and has been listed in the heritage register since 1986.
Only a few of the former gravestones have survived, most of them damaged. About 20 matzevot (Jewish gravestones) remain, the oldest dating from 1791. The heritage register dates the cemetery to the second half of the 18th century and describes it as a Jewish cemetery, and the entry bears a number from June 1986. The site is a Jewish denominational cemetery where burials no longer take place.
