A forest of about 425 ha in Sosnowiec, with bunkers from 1944 and a cycling trail.
Las Zagórski is a forest complex of about 425 hectares in the Sosnowiec districts of Zagórze and Kazimierz. It is managed by the Siewierz Forest District, and the forest is a remnant of the former wilderness known as Pakosznica.
Bunkers from the Second World War survive in the forest, which in 1944 formed part of the German B2 defensive line. In the terrain there are also water-filled subsidence ponds left by former mining, and in the damper parts the Mortimer Ditch (Rów Mortimerowski) flows.
The Las Zagórski Cycling Trail runs through the forest, linking Kępa Park with Jacek Kuroń Park. To the south the forest borders the ecological site of Podmokłe Łąki and Zapadliska w Zagórzu (the Wet Meadows and Subsidence Ponds in Zagórze), and to the east it merges smoothly into Jacek Kuroń Park.
