Manor house from the early 19th century in Żuraw, on the heritage register, today privately owned.
The manor house in Żuraw, a village in the municipality of Janów, has stood on this site since the early 19th century. The village is mentioned as early as 1220 as a knightly village of the Bishop of Kraków, Iwo Odrowąż. The manor house was entered in the heritage register in 1989 (no. 468/89).
In 1815 Żuraw was bought by the Napoleonic colonel Michał Konstanty Pruszak, and he probably built the present manor house. In 1851-1877 the estate belonged to the Krasiński family, later to the Raczyński family, who extended the church and the manor house. In 1975 it was taken over by the municipality of Janów.
The building has a single storey. In 1996 it was renovated under the supervision of the monument conservator. Today it is privately owned and not open to visitors. In the area lies the Babski Las nature reserve, about 4 km away.
