Monument made of two steel walls commemorating Henryk Sławik and József Antall Senior, unveiled in 2015 at the International Congress Centre.
The Monument to Henryk Sławik and József Antall Senior stands in Sławik and Antall Square in Katowice, in front of the International Congress Centre. It commemorates two heroes of the Second World War who saved at least 5,000 Polish Jews.
The monument consists of two steel walls with portraits of both men and information about their achievements, given in Polish and Hungarian. The composition also includes a group of trees and a bench. The designers are Jan Kuka and Michał Dąbek, and the funder was the city of Katowice.
The monument was unveiled on 21 March 2015 during the Polish-Hungarian Days. It was unveiled by the presidents of Poland and Hungary.
The square neighbours the seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Silesian Insurgents' Monument. Not far away is also the Silesian Museum.
