About Museum of Parachuting and Special Forces

Military and civilian memorabilia of parachutists, the Cichociemni and special units in the Agawa villa

The Museum of Parachuting and Special Forces in Wisła collects memorabilia connected with Polish civilian and military parachuting and with special units. It was founded in 2003 and commemorates Lieutenant Colonel Adolf Pilch, one of the Cichociemni (Silent Unseen paratroopers) and a soldier of the Home Army.

What has been collected

The collections include badges, documents, uniforms, equipment, weapons, means of communication, photographs, films, books and archive materials, in all over 10,000 exhibits. The exhibition leads from the period of the Second Polish Republic through units from wartime (the Cichociemni, the Grenadiers, the Commandos) to contemporary Polish units. There are also souvenirs of civilian parachuting and of scouting. Among the collections are mentioned souvenirs of the first commanders of the GROM unit.

Where the museum is

The seat is in the Agawa villa on ulica Przylesie. In the area are the "Sports Trophies of Adam Małysz" Gallery and the amphitheatre in Wisła.
