A municipal art gallery in Tychy with no permanent display, showing temporary exhibitions of painting, sculpture, graphic art and photography.
Obok Gallery is a municipal art gallery in Tychy, located on the first floor of the Andromeda Culture Arcade (Pasaż Kultury Andromeda) building next to the Small Theatre. It has no permanent display of its own and shows temporary exhibitions.
The gallery presents solo and group exhibitions of painting, sculpture, graphic art, textiles and photography. It is also a venue for art workshops and literary meetings. The first display was an exhibition of the Tychy Artistic Community, opened on 3 June 1994 with 29 artists taking part.
In the following years the gallery showed, among others, works by Bronisław Chromy, Józef Szajna and Leszek Mądzik. Regular events included the Tychy Press Photo competition exhibition and a Christmas art fair.
The gallery operates in the same building as the Small Theatre. Not far away is also the Tychy City Museum.
