A Neo-Renaissance palace of 1859 in Piaśniki, a former clerks' house of a zinc company, rebuilt in 1917.
The palace in Świętochłowice, also known as the Piaśniki little castle (zameczek piaśnicki), stands at Bytomska 55 in the Piaśniki district. It is a Neo-Renaissance building completed in 1859.
The palace was built as a clerks' house for the management of the Silesian Joint-Stock Company for Mining and Zinc Metallurgy. Its first owners were the Donnersmarcks. During the First World War the building suffered mining damage and in 1917 it was rebuilt, and it was then that it gained Art Nouveau stained glass.
The building has three storeys, side projections and a portico with pilasters. The first-floor windows are semicircular-headed. In 1866 a park was laid out with tennis courts, a bowling alley and a pond.
After the war a kindergarten was housed here, and today the building is owned by the municipality and serves residential and service functions. From here it is about 1.8 km to the Museum of the Silesian Uprisings.
