Red hiking trail through sites of the defence of Katowice in 1939, from Katowice to Chudów.
The Parachute Tower Heroes Trail is a red hiking trail in the Silesian Voivodeship that commemorates the defence of Katowice in September 1939. It starts in Katowice and ends in Chudów. It is about 39 km long and is maintained by PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society).
The route leads through the main sites of the city's defence in 1939. Along the trail are, among others, the Monument to the Silesian Insurgents, Kościuszko Park and the Parachute Tower in Katowice, as well as commemorative plaques in the Panewnicki Forests. From Katowice the trail runs through Brynów, Ligota and Zadole (Panewnicki Forests) to the Starganiec reservoir. In Mikołów it passes Jamna, the Market Square (Rynek) and Bujaków, and it ends in Chudów.
