Grunwaldzki Square Park (Park Plac Grunwaldzki) is a landscaped green space in Gliwice's Wójtowa Wieś district, formerly Preussenplatz. The park and heritage protection

The registration procedure was begun in November 2012 by the Provincial Office for the Protection of Monuments in Katowice, and it ended on 15 May 2013 with an entry in the register under number A/415/13. Protection covers the park, the lime trees along Mickiewicza Street, the Norway maples by Sobieskiego Street and the greenery of the Keżmarok square.

What is in the park

On the square there is a multi-purpose pitch and one playground. In December 2011 a light tunnel with fifteen flashing lamps was installed here.

Soviet soldiers' cemetery

In the park there is a cemetery founded in 1951. Buried there are Soviet soldiers killed in January 1945 in the fighting for Gliwice and its surroundings. It is a place of remembrance and should be visited with due seriousness.
