A square in the Old Town of Mysłowice with historic townhouses and a former brick synagogue from 1826.
Mieroszewscy Square (Plac Mieroszewskich) lies in the Old Town of Mysłowice and runs from Bytomska street to the Market Square. It received its name after 1989 from the Polish Mieroszewski family.
Earlier it was called Parkowa street, Liberation Square and 22 July Square. The square took its present shape in the interwar period, when the buildings in its middle were demolished. Four townhouses stand on the square, including a five-storey one from 1896, and the whole architectural complex was entered in the heritage register in 1972 (number A/1183/72). The surface was renewed in 2015.
At number 1 stands the rectangular brick building of the former synagogue from 1826, built in connection with the influx of Jewish population. In 1927 it was bought by the Holy Cross parish from the “Robak” furniture company.
