A monument from 1923 on Dworcowa Street in Knurów, commemorating the insurgents Paweł Hora and Florian Henel.
The Silesian Insurgents Monument in Knurów stands on Dworcowa Street. It was erected in 1923 and commemorates two participants of the uprisings: Paweł Hora and Florian Henel.
The monument was built during the term of the head of the Knurów municipality, Antoni Słonina. When finished, it was consecrated in June 1923 by Fr Jan Chrząszcz. At the start of the Second World War the Germans demolished the monument.
In the period of the Polish People's Republic the monument was rebuilt in a changed form, as the Monument of Gratitude to the Red Army. In 1995 its original appearance was restored.
