A masonry cemetery church from 1834 in Będzin, with a Baroque altar and Gothic sculptures.
St Thomas Becket's Church in Będzin is a masonry cemetery church from 1834, entered in the heritage register. It stands close to the town centre, near Będzin Castle, and belongs to the parish of the Holy Trinity.
From the second half of the 16th century a wooden church stood on this site. It was built by the Catholics of Będzin when the Church of the Holy Trinity was taken over by the Polish Brethren. The present masonry church was built in 1834 as a cemetery church.
Inside are a Baroque altar and Gothic sculptures. Next to the church lies a Roman Catholic cemetery, where the oldest, richly decorated sculptures and Art Nouveau gravestones have survived.
