A ski resort in Wisła Jawornik with a four-person chairlift and four downhill runs.
The Stok ski resort lies in Wisła Jawornik, in the Silesian Beskids, on the south-eastern slope of Kiczera hill at the foot of the Czantoria Wielka ridge. It has four downhill runs, a four-person chairlift and a winter playground for children.
The resort has four runs: red (850 m long, 200 m height difference), red-blue (1,000 m, 200 m), blue (1,100 m, 200 m) and green (140 m, 18 m) for learning to ski. The runs are groomed, covered with artificial snow and lit after dark. On the green run there is a 150 m button lift.
The main lift is a four-person chairlift by Doppelmayr, 803 m long with a height gain of 195 m, and a capacity of 1,711 people an hour. It replaced the old drag lift and was put into service on 8 December 2016. The first drag lift here was probably built in 1972 at the then holiday centre of the “Wawel” mine.
For children there is a winter playground with a toboggan slope and a moving carpet. There are an equipment rental, a ski school and a highlander inn at the bottom, and at the upper station a bar with a viewing terrace overlooking the panorama of the Beskids. The resort stands directly next to the four-star “Stok” hotel, which has a swimming pool, a spa zone and a bowling alley.
Nearby are other places for winter and mountain recreation: the Czantoria nature reserve, the Mountain Hut on Soszów Wielki and the Nowa Osada Ski Centre. In summer the summer toboggan run operates in the area.
