Uroczysko Buczyna is a nature and landscape complex on the border of Chorzów and Ruda Śląska, with an area of 65.32 ha. It is part of the protective forest belt of the Upper Silesian Industrial Region, that is the greenery between the cities of the conurbation.
The forest is covered with acidophilous lowland beech forest together with the plant and animal species associated with it. Monumental trees also grow here.
The plants include species rare on a national scale: small enchanter's nightshade, lesser wintergreen, marsh stitchwort, crested buckler fern, floating pondweed, European white elm, oak fern and beech fern. A bladderwort, a carnivorous plant, also grows here.
The complex lies in the catchment of the Kłodnica river, within the Katowice forest district. The green PTTK Twenty-fifth Anniversary Trail passes through it.
