About Velostrada in Jaworzno

A three-kilometre cycle road in Jaworzno built to the velostrada standard, opened in 2018.

The Velostrada in Jaworzno is a cycle road 3.4 km long, regarded as the first in Poland built to the velostrada standard. It was opened on 30 September 2018.

Route

The route starts on Puszkina Street on the Osiedle Stałe estate, runs along the site of the former Jan Kanty mine and through the Podłęże district, and ends near the town centre, by the Galena shopping centre. One of the crossings leads through a tunnel under national road no. 79.

Practical information

  • Start: Puszkina Street, Osiedle Stałe; end: the area of the Galena shopping centre.
  • The route is short, so it works well as a way to get somewhere or as a section of a longer ride around Jaworzno.
