Velostrada No. 6 Katowice (Brynów) - Mysłowice

Velostrada No. 6 is one of the fast cycle routes in the network of the Upper Silesian-Dąbrowa Basin Metropolis (GZM). It links the Katowice district of Brynów with Mysłowice.

Route and parameters

The route is about 9.1 km long and follows the corridor of a former narrow-gauge railway. The surface is asphalt, 4 metres wide. Lighting, bicycle counters and eight service points are provided along the route. The first, 4.4-kilometre section between Brynów and Giszowiec was opened in December 2024.

The route passes in the vicinity of Giszowiec. It is about 2 km from here to the Nikiszowiec estate.
