Wooden observation tower from 2017 above the Salm Duży pond in the Łężczok reserve.
The viewing platform on Salm Duży is a wooden observation tower that also serves as a covered bird-watching point. It stands above the Salm Duży pond in the Łężczok nature reserve, near Nędza in Racibórz County, and was built in 2017.
The Salm Duży pond is one of eight ponds in the Łężczok reserve, alongside Ligotniak, Brzeziniak, Babiczak and Salm Mały, among others. According to the description of the reserve, about 51 per cent of the bird species found in Poland live here, that is over 190 species, including grebes, ducks and herons. The platform lets you watch them from above and from concealment.
