About Wieluń Jura Trail

Red hiking trail from Częstochowa to Wieluń along the Warta, about 113 km.

The Wieluń Jura Trail is a red hiking trail from Częstochowa to Wieluń, most often given as 113 km long. It is an extension of the Trail of the Eagles' Nests and shares its starting point with it, on the Old Market Square in Częstochowa.

Route

The trail is gentler in character than the Eagles' Nests and does not lead to strongholds. It runs mainly through forests, fields, meadows and small villages, for long stretches along the Warta. At the start, from Częstochowa to Mstów, it passes through the area of the Mirów Warta Gorge. It then leaves the river valley and leads through, among others, Kruszyna and Prusicko. The rest of the route, through Ważne Młyny and the Załęcze Landscape Park, ends in Wieluń, in the Łódź Voivodeship. The trail was laid out in 1959-1967 to a design by Janusz Brandys.
