A ski resort in Zwardoń on the western slope of Mały Rachowiec in the Żywiec Beskids, with a four-person chairlift and an artificially snowed run.
The Zwardoń Ski resort lies in Zwardoń, in the Żywiec Beskids, on the western slope of the hill Mały Rachowiec (840 m above sea level). This hill is an unremarkable rise on the slope of Rachowiec (954 m above sea level).
The main lift is the four-person chairlift “Mały Rachowiec”, 860 metres long with a capacity of 2,400 people per hour, put into operation on 27 December 2012. Earlier a two-person drag lift operated on this route. For children there is a short “Baby Lift” (130 m) and a “Śnieżny Raj” (Snow Paradise) run of the same length.
The red run is 900 metres long, runs alongside the chairlift and is floodlit, groomed and artificially snowed. A reservoir at the top of Mały Rachowiec supplies the snow cannons with water.
The resort is linked to a second station, “Duży Rachowiec”, on the northern slopes of Rachowiec; both use a common lift-pass system. The drag lift there is 1,200 metres long, and the two runs (red and blue) are groomed but neither lit nor artificially snowed.
The resort has a snow park, a ski school, an equipment rental and service, two inns by the lower and upper stations of the lift, and a car park. The current offer must be checked with the operator.
