Events in Sosnowiec: concerts at the MUZA hall and Komin Music Cafe, plays, cabaret and events at the Zagłębie Cultural Centre. Pick a day.
Sosnowiec has more than fifty events in the calendar, mostly musical, with a strong share of theatre and a handful of cabaret shows. The city lies in the Dąbrowa Basin (Zagłębie Dąbrowskie) and draws people from the whole conurbation, so it makes sense to check the venue before you set off.
The Sala Widowiskowo-Koncertowa MUZA appears most often. A few entries concern the concert hall of the Zespół Szkół Muzycznych (the music school complex), Komin Music Cafe and Księgarnia. Single events went to ArcelorMittal Park Arena, Przystanek Otwartej Kultury “Kazimierz”, Remedium, Bank Sztuki and the Zagłębiowskie Centrum Kultury.
The MUZA hall has a second entry in the calendar under the name Miejski Klub im. Jana Kiepury (Sala MUZA), so there are slightly more events on this stage than one entry suggests. The name ArcelorMittal Park Arena points to a hall and Komin Music Cafe to a music venue; for Remedium and Bank Sztuki only the event description tells more. All the calendar tells you about Księgarnia is that it sometimes hosts events.
The largest group is concerts in Sosnowiec, more than thirty. Next come theatre performances, sixteen dates, and cabaret shows, seven. Single entries are a film screening and an event in the category “other”. The full list is on the page of events in Sosnowiec.
If you want a concert, begin with the MUZA hall, because most dates fall there, and only then browse the clubs and smaller halls. Theatre and cabaret are worth comparing in advance, since there are fewer of them than music. There is only one film entry, so for a screening it is better to look in the neighbouring towns of the conurbation.
The section of sights of Sosnowiec covers several dozen places. For a walk through the history of the city try the article on the palaces and mausoleum of the Dietel and Schön industrialists, and for greenery between the towns read about the nature reserves in the conurbation.
The calendar ties the largest number of events to the MUZA hall. Choose the music category and you will see which dates fall on this stage.
Yes, it is the second largest category by number of entries. Theatre has a dozen or so dates in the city.
