A park in Katowice's Bogucice district with an amphitheatre, playgrounds and a bebok figure, next to the Silesian Museum.
Bogucice Park (Park Bogucki) is a district park in Katowice's Bogucice, between Kopalniana, ks. F. Ścigały and Nadgórników streets. It lies right next to the Silesian Museum and the seat of NOSPR, on land linked to the mining history of the area.
The park's area is 3.78 ha, and the landscaped green area is 4.18 ha. There are playgrounds, an outdoor gym, a dog zone and a small amphitheatre where district events are held.
The Upper Silesian Mining History Trail runs through the park. In 2022 a figure of the bebok Ferdynand was placed here, the thirteenth on the Katowice Bebok Trail.
Park grounds already existed here in the interwar period. The present name, previously used informally, was given to the park by a resolution of the Katowice City Council of 30 August 2010. After years of neglect the park was thoroughly modernised.
It was planned to link it by gardens with the grounds of the former "Katowice" mine, where NOSPR and the museum now stand.
