The central element is a monument from 1961. The site also holds a monument to Soviet soldiers moved from the market square in Pszów, a commemorative plaque dedicated to Colonel Ivan Prokopyevich Amvrosov and a grave of nineteen Czechoslovak soldiers.

Earlier history of the hill

A Jewish cemetery had earlier stood on this spot, used from 1814 until the Second World War and destroyed by the Germans. Steps from that period have survived, and in front of them in 2012 a monument commemorating the Jewish residents of Wodzisław was unveiled.
