An almost six-kilometre boulevard on the Czarna Przemsza in Sosnowiec with a cycle path, a walking path and a section of the Way of St James.
Czarna Przemsza Boulevard is a riverside walking and cycling route in Sosnowiec, on the stretch from the Schön Palace and Park Complex on the border with Będzin towards the Three Emperors' Corner. It is also part of the international Way of St James, marked with yellow shells.
The original outline was laid out during the regulation of the river in 1957-1964. The boulevard is nearly 6 km long and runs along the banks of the river, alternating between the two sides. The old infrastructure from the People's Republic era fell into ruin, so successive sections were renovated in stages, under the participatory budget, according to a revitalisation programme from 2016. A separate cycle path of red asphalt, a walking path for pedestrians and roller skaters and rest areas were created.
Most of the important monuments of Sosnowiec lie along the boulevard. They include, among others, the Ernst Schön Palace with the City Museum, Sielec Castle with its cultural centre, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the buildings of the former Sielec Brewery, the Jewish cemetery in Modrzejów and the workers' housing estate on Chemiczna Street. In Sielec Park there are monuments, among them one of the young Jan Kiepura.
The boulevard also links the city's green areas, including two historic parks. By it lies the Scout Park, and the planned end of the route is to be at the Three Emperors' Corner.
