Evangelical church in Wisła Głębce consecrated in 2017, successor to the parish's former chapel.
The Evangelical church in Wisła Głębce is the church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish, consecrated in August 2017. It is a new building that replaced the more modest pastoral premises the congregation had used for several decades.
The origins of the congregation go back to 1977, when a catechetical point was opened in a private house in Głębce. In 1981-1982 the building was converted into a catechetical house with a chapel. In 1994 the chapel became the church of the independent Evangelical Lutheran parish in Wisła Głębce. A bell from the time of the chapel has survived in the parish.
The foundation stone for the new church was laid on 2 August 2006. The building was consecrated on 13 August 2017, more than ten years later. The available descriptions do not give the architect or the dimensions of the church.
It is not far from here to the centre of Wisła: the Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Wisła lies about 200 m away. Further on, towards the mountains, are the Nowa Osada Ski Resort and Ochorowiczówka.
