An interactive model in a Gliwice shopping centre: over 700 square metres, over 500 buildings, 12 rail vehicles and over 5,000 figures.
Kolejkowo in Gliwice is an interactive model of a miniature world, housed in the Europa Centralna shopping centre. The exhibition covers more than 700 square metres and shows the landscape of Gliwice with trains, bridges, tunnels and bodies of water.
The Kolejkowo website says that 12 rail vehicles run on tracks several hundred metres long, and cars move at a speed of 0.34 km/h. The model has more than 500 buildings, including miniature replicas of authentic Silesian structures, and more than 5,000 figures of people and animals. The model also shows weather phenomena: a storm with real rain, and a day and night cycle.
Kolejkowo is located in a shopping centre next to which there is a large car park. Buses 232 and 678 go directly to the centre, and from the Gliwice PKP station line 232 runs towards the stop “Gliwice Europa Centralna”. In the neighbourhood, about 100 metres away, is House of Air.
The Kolejkowo website also lists other attractions that can be combined with a visit, among them the Gliwice Radio Tower.
