Models of the castles of the Trail of the Eagles' Nests at a scale of 1:25 and replica siege engines, right next to the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle.
The Miniature Park in Podzamcze lies at the foot of the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle. It shows the castles and strongholds of the Trail of the Eagles' Nests at a scale of 1:25, from Kraków to Częstochowa.
The models recreate all the castles and strongholds of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, including Olsztyn, Ogrodzieniec, Siewierz, Będzin, Pieskowa Skała, Ojców, Pilica, Rabsztyn, Mirów and Bobolice. A model of Jasna Góra Monastery stands in the centre of the park. The models were preceded by many months of searching for historical documentation.
The models stand in the open air, on grounds shaped to recreate the terrain of the Jura: valleys, canyons and rock walls. The park also has full-size 1:1 replicas of siege engines: a catapult, a ballista and a trebuchet. The park's website also mentions archery ranges and a T-55 Merida tank with its hatches open, which you can climb into.
Right next door are the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle, and you can see more strongholds on the Trail of the Eagles' Nests. The park is part of a complex that also includes the House of Legends and Ghosts, an Amusement Park, a Physics Experiments Park and a toboggan run.
