A bridge over the Odra next to the castle in Racibórz; a crossing has existed here since 1299, and the present bridge was rebuilt after 1945.
The Castle Bridge (Most Zamkowy) is a bridge over the Odra in Racibórz, next to the castle, on voivodeship road no. 935. It has four traffic lanes and pavements.
The first mention of the bridge dates from 1299; it was a wooden bridge. It burned down in the town fire of 1637. In 1795 an ice floe tore away a third of the structure, and a year later a new bridge was opened, perpendicular to the current and 94 m long. In 1871 a bridge was built on the present site: 79 m long, with three stone piers and iron spans. In 1914 a concrete bridge was opened.
The Germans blew up the bridge on 30 March 1945, and Soviet troops put up a pontoon crossing. The bridge was rebuilt in the 1950s, and in 1996-1998 it underwent a general overhaul in which the roadway was widened from two lanes to four.
Right next to it stands Racibórz Castle, and not far away the H2Ostróg Aquapark.
