Baroque hunting lodge of the Princes of Pless from 1685, extended in the 18th century, with the 19th-century Brewery Park.
The palace and park complex in Tychy is a Baroque residence at Katowicka 2, built as a hunting lodge of the Princes of Pless. It was entered in the heritage register in 1983.
The lodge was built in 1685 for the Princes of Pless of the Promnitz family. In 1766-1782 Prince Friedrich Erdmann von Anhalt-Köthen-Pless commissioned an extension that gave the building the form of a palace residence. When the princes built a hunting palace in Promnice, the importance of this building declined; that residence is described on the page for the hunting palace in Promnice.
In the 19th century the Hochbergs laid out the Brewery Park around the palace, which served cultural and recreational purposes. In the communist period the building housed a nursery school and later a community centre. In 2004-2007 it was used for catering, and since 2009 the building has had a new user. It neighbours the Princely Brewery, and the Tyskie Browarium stands nearby.
