A family amusement and recreation park in Wodzisław Śląski, opened in 2015, covering 24 ha, with a rope park, an amphitheatre, a skatepark and biathlon trails.
Trzy Wzgórza (Three Hills) is a family amusement and recreation park in Wodzisław Śląski, spread over 24 hectares of hills between the XXX-lecia, Piastów and Dąbrówki housing estates. It was opened on 26 July 2015. The park combines a playground, sports facilities and walking paths.
Construction lasted from 2012 to 2015 and had a turbulent course. The first contractor started work in April 2012 and left the site in June 2013. A second contractor was chosen in 2013, but in the autumn of 2014 the next one also stopped work. The investment was therefore divided into smaller tasks, which were completed in the summer of 2015. The name was chosen by internet users in a vote: “Trzy Wzgórza” won 290 votes, ahead of the proposals “Zaczarowane jary” (Enchanted Ravines) and “Rajski Wąwóz” (Paradise Gorge). In 2021 the former district made up of the XXX-lecia, Piastów and Dąbrówki estates was given the same name.
The park offers a complex of sports pitches, a hide-and-seek arena of 7,500 square metres, a rope park and a rope bridge (linarium) with a span of 30 metres, one of the highest in Poland. There are also a maze, a bowling track, a boules pitch, a track for remote-controlled models, a skatepark, a sledging hill, a BMX track, children's play gardens and a large playground. In the brine cabin for 12 people a mini graduation tower and walls of Himalayan and Kłodawa salt have been set up. The amphitheatre holds 800 spectators, and there are 150 free parking spaces by the park.
The paths cover more than 31,000 square metres in total. The main walking and cycling route (red) is 3,000 metres long, the yellow walking trail 2,500 metres, the black cycle path 2,200 metres, and the purple fitness trail about 2,300 metres with 17 exercise stations. The blue biathlon route is one thousand metres long. Since 2017 the Youth Biathlon Sports Training Centre has operated here, with a laser shooting range on a grass surface of about 4,000 square metres (the penalty loops and the running track have an asphalt surface), and an agreement with the Polish Biathlon Union allows athletes to train on the park's paths. In 2018 a 640-metre walking and cycling path linking the park with the Old Town was opened.
In the Old Town, which the park is linked to by a path, lie the Market Square (Rynek) and the Dietrichstein Palace. A little further stands the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and a few kilometres from the park the “Ignacy” Historic Mine.
