A bronze bench of Wiesław Dymny in Jaworze, designed by Marek Maślaniec, unveiled in 2022.
The Wiesław Dymny Bench in Jaworze is a bronze monument unveiled on 9 September 2022 in the part of the village called Nałęże, by the trail to Błatnia in the Silesian Beskids.
Wiesław Dymny (1936-1978) was a visual artist, actor, screenwriter, poet and satirist, a co-founder of the Kraków cabaret Piwnica pod Baranami. The bench stands in the place where the artist spent his childhood. It shows him sitting on a bench.
The design is by Marek Maślaniec, and the idea came from the Jaworze-Zdrój association. The work was funded with EU and municipal funds. The artist's wife, Anna Dymna, took part in the unveiling. Further along the trail lies Błatnia with its PTTK mountain hut.
