About Włodzimierz Mazur Park in Sosnowiec

A one-and-a-half-hectare municipal park in Porąbka, Sosnowiec, designated a park in 2018, with trees among the buildings of the Juliusz estate.

Włodzimierz Mazur Park is a small municipal park in Sosnowiec's Porąbka district, on the Juliusz estate. It covers about one and a half hectares of land covered with trees.

Where it lies and how it came about

The park is at the junction of ul. Spadochroniarzy, ul. Minerów and ul. Czołgistów. The City Council designated it a municipal park by a resolution of 30 November 2018, and gave it the name of Włodzimierz Mazur on 31 January 2019. The patron lived nearby years ago.

What to expect

This is neighbourhood greenery, not an extensive park with features: a short walk among trees in a residential part of the city. Sosnowiec's larger recreational areas are further away, for example the Scouts' Park.
